My name is Chris and indeed, this is picture of me topless doing a casual 41k run in the Rockies. While I am still waiting for my amazing shots from my recent race I did in Iceland ( which by the way I totally rocked ), I want to share something with you.
Please do not consider it a “The Origin Story of Chris Andrews”, because i really hate those. I am just a regular guy in my early thirties, who has always enjoyed running.
One day I stumbled upon an old friend of mine who came to Vancouver, where I lived at the time. When I found out that he is in town, I asked him to meet for a cup of coffee. While he was visiting for work, he did not want to break his training routine.
Strangely enough he proposed our meeting to be a morning run, which I was doing daily at the time as well. We met and he told me a story about his endeavours in Triathlon and I saw the spirit which he has for the sport.
After talking to a couple friends of mine, I realised that i want to make the leap and start training for my first Half-Ironman. It was 5 years ago, but i remember this day just like it was yesterday. Little did I know…
Fast forward 5 years, 7 major full Ironman races and countless local events I find myself writing on this blog trying to help my readers to break into the challenging, yet rewarding world of Triathlon.
Hope you will enjoy this blog. Reach out to me if you have any questions!
